FAQ
Questions, answered.
- How is Passage different from flashcard apps?
- Flashcards help learners remember individual items. Passage focuses on understanding what you need next and creating learning experiences around that.
- Does Passage replace a Japanese teacher?
- Passage is designed to support independent learners by providing personalised learning direction and practice.
- Does Passage use AI?
- Passage uses advanced technology to help create personalised learning experiences, while the learning path remains guided by evidence and learning design.
- Does Passage guarantee JLPT success?
- No. Progress depends on the learner. Passage helps learners understand where they are and what to work on next.
- Do I need a JLPT goal to use Passage?
- No. Passage supports learners working toward N5–N2, and also learners who simply want Japanese ability with no exam attached.
- How much time do I need each day?
- You tell Passage how much time you have, and it builds the session to fit. Short, consistent sessions work well; missing a day does not leave a backlog to clear.
- When can I download it?
- Passage is coming to iOS and Android. Join the waitlist and we'll write to you once it opens to new learners — download links will appear here at the same time.
